Racing Scooters

There are brands that are currently used as base units for the emerging sport. Each one has its own unique base features that appeal to riders and, as you would imagine, there are weaknesses too.

Basic Racing Features and Equipment
The basics of a race build are below. Power to the wheels defines your potential. Of course, it’s not everything, balance is actually more important. The better-balanced scooter can take the overpowered one most of the time on tight tracks

  • Power
  • Battery Capacity
  • Steering
  • Suspension
  • Breaking

Most popular in racing
I would say that right now, and this may change, Kaabo is the most aggressive company perusing racing. They have a team and the field of rider gear shows up on the track a lot. Below, you’ll find one of the early videos of racing. On the field, if you look closely at the info pages, are many Kaabo factory pilots. In the field, we see some Dualtron riders, some with what looks like a single straight stem.

Weaknesses

Kaabo products, out of the box, have some parts that tend to fail. It’s not to say that quality control is terrible but it’s not a buy and ride-fast scooter let alone racing. Actually, no brand is really ready for racing out of the box.
